District Planning & Monitoring Unit (DPMU) has been established in Guna district with the support of Madhya Pradesh State Planning Commission and UNICEF to support in planning, monitoring and evaluation of developmental programs, especially government flagship programs. The unit has been entrusted with the responsibilities of supporting decentralized district planning, monitoring support to flagship programs and updating respective departments and district administration. It is also working as a knowledge hub and data center of the district in coordination with MIS sections of various departments.

Staffing and Structure -
Located in the Zila Panchayat building, DPMU will be initially under direct control of district collector. CEO (ZP) will be responsible to provide guidance for day to day activities. Later, it may be placed under the District Planning Office (DPO), when it gets strengthened. To begin with, DPMU will have four professional staff –Planning Specialist, MIS/ M & E Specialist and two field/ Research Investigators.
